The Pneumococcal Vaccines Accelerated Development and Introduction Plan (PneumoADIP) is a project located at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and funded by an award of $30 million from the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI) and its partner, the Vaccine Fund (VF).

The PneumoADIP is an innovative effort to achieve a global health objective that has never been met before – assuring the earliest access to new life-saving vaccines for the world’s poorest children., The PneumoADIP aims to achieve this ambitious goal by sharing risks with the private sector and in return obtaining a more sustainable, affordable supply of vaccine for the world’s poorest countries. The PneumoADIP team is small and composed of 6 dedicated professionals funded by an award from GAVI. It is housed at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health— a leading global health research institution that provides flexibility and support.
